THIS IS GREAT INSURANCE THAT I WILL BE SAFE AND RESCUED IN A TIMELY MANNER. IM ALWAYS ON THE WATER OR IN THE WOODS. RAN THE SELF TEST AND EVERYTHING COMES BACK CLEAR.

I couldn’t give any stars for the battery life because I just got it , I assume it’s battery will last like it says. This was very easy to register online . The instructions were very simple on how to use it . As far as I know it will work , i did run the test and it passed. Size wise it’s about like a small version of the old clunky cell phones and not super heavy but heavier than the average cell phone . I’d say worth the money for the peace of mind. I think anyone that goes out on the water should have one of these . Things can go very wrong very quick.

It is not a two-way radio, so it will not “call home” for you or even send a personal message. There are other devices to do that (Google PLB) for a subscription.
Whether you are on the high seas or in the back country; if you need emergency rescue, this device will get the message out. It does not depend on cell phone or other radio service; it is strictly for rescue and uses the emergency network of satellites to get help to your exact GPS location.

Small, simple easy instructions, make sure it is secured the clips are plastic use the Velcro and the safety string, costs a pretty penny don’t wanna lose it
Kim Mccartney –
As expected, simple, test went well, no problem.

I haven’t had to use the unit, so I can’t comment on how well it works or not. I did use the test function, and that worked perfectly.
Registration was quick and easy, although I’m still waiting for the written confirmation from the Feds that they have the registration information.
This provides an additional bit of comfort while I’m out on extended motorcycle trips (9,000 miles over about a four week period this summer). Knowing that if something goes terribly wrong, I have a good chance of being rescued makes traveling seem a bit safer.
Nicely packaged system, easy to deploy, and light weight. I do wish they had a couple of other mounting/carrying options. One I borrowed a few years ago had a nice Velcro strap that allowed me to fasten it to my arm. This one lives in the pocket of my jacket. Not quite as easy to get to in an emergency.
Between this and the SPOT for tracking my trips, my family and friends know where I am and that I’m safe.
Highly recommended.

Small and lite enough for adventures. Water resistant and good quality. Made in USA! Battery lasts years and worked when testes. Hopefully i never have to use it though.
