In the dark need to take a shower and get to work. Try taking a shower and holding a hand held light not fun. Stream Light Compact Lantern does the job well. A simple thunder storm knocked out the electricity, I needed to get to work the Siege Lantern saved the day. Don’t let darkness rule the day or night…

Great lantern, well constructed, good fit and finish. Light is perfect for camping and or emergency power outages. Liked the first one so much purchased three more. You can not go wrong with this lantern. I highly recommend this light, you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve got several lanterns, and this Streamlight Siege is by far the best I’ve tried. I live in a very rural setting where our powerline is cut thru several miles of woods. When the winds pick up, the snowor ice gets heavy, our power goes out. In 41 years of living here, I’ve went thru a bunch of lantersand most get thrown away or got to yard sales. Not this one. I plan on picking up a couple more beforenext winter. Can’t beat the battery life and the 5 different modes of light.Dano

Bought this to use as a tent light in an upcoming camping trip. I have used it around the house and seems to produce a good amount of illumination for a small lantern. Produced enough light to move around in a 25’X25′ living room. It seems to be solidly built.

This is an excellent emergency light. It not only puts out a lot of light, but it lasts a long time too. Combine this with a sleeve of D cells from one of the discount warehouses and for about $50 you have enough light to sustain you through most any power outage. It not only puts out enough light to actually do something by, but it does not get hot like other lights might.I would definitely recommend this light for purchase.

Very bright. Has 3 brightness settings. Easy to use. Has multiple hanger options. Because it runs on “D” batteries it should last a long time before getting dim. The “D” batteries do make it a little heavier than it looks.
