I love this pack frame, it is light weight and small in size but can carry a heavy load with no problem. I also added the spike duffel bag to the frame, it zips right on and adds to the versatility of the frame.

The F1 by far has become my top choice in all my packs. I have the F3 Fac Track which was my 1st pack, Vanquest Falconer 27 & Kelty Red Wing 50 and none of those compare to F1’s versatility. Because it can carry all of those packs & then some.Obviously it’s a bare frame system, but for the price and purchase of some various pouches and dry bag you can utilize this pack as an over night to a 3 day assault or even more depending on your build; possibilities are only limited on the weight you can carry. For the price, superb quality that Eberlestock has, to what this pack brings to the table, you can not go wrong with this setup. Eberlestock has done it again!!!

I like the FI. Good frame pack compared to others on the market. However, I have yet to find the perfect reasonably priced external frame pack. This one is close but does lack a few features that would move it closer to the perfect pack. Namely, it would be nice if there were a few places on the frame exposed so that you could lash 1-2 items directly to it while one of the modular packs are on it. Also, if you want to lash a sleeping bag to the bottom, you will need to modify the existing lash straps as the originals are too short. If Eberlestock would offer a lighter and smaller pack than the Transformer to attach to this frame, the system would be excellent.

The F1 is a good frame pack. Well built. Needs a longer lashing strap on the bottom of the frame pack to lash a sleeping bag to the shelf. Slim and reasonably light weight. The Transformer pack that attaches to the F1 Frame is a bit heavy for its use. Eberlestock should consider either reducing the Transformer’s weight or adding another smaller lighter weight pack similar to the Transformer to it pack line.

This is a very nice , quiet , comfortable pack frame ! I’ve got the transformer ordered also to team up with it and can’t wait to use them both together ! The only thing I would add to this pack frame is the pouches on the belt, which you can order separately which I have coming also . Can’t wait to load this baby up with a big bull !

Used this, joined with the Transformer pack and the Spike Camp Duffel, on a week-long camp/hike/hunt in the Appalachian range. Very comfortable, very solid, very durable. Lots of up and downs in the Blue Ridge and this pack setup enabled me to carry my camp 10 miles in and back again with 80-90lbs of boned out venison added in. Takes some configuring, but what good pack doesn’t? Carried my gear and some of the other 2 guys that came with me thrown in as well. Well worth it.Only thing I would add is belt pouches for easy access, but those are easy add-ons, bought either here or straight from EStock.
