I’ve been searching a long time for the perfect truck, hunting, b.o.b. And the x4 is it!!It fits close to the body but the padding allows for air to move between you and the pack, it’s everthing I was hoping it would be!I’m looking forward to buying the add on packs for more versatility.

Great pack, the kind of quality and craftsmanship you want if you are serious about your gear. Plenty of room left to customize to your needs. Pack rides extremely tight and high as advertised not allowing you to feel whats really on your back. 4/5 because everything can improve in some way although it may take me many years to find exactly how that might be.

I purchased this pack as a summer hiking/backpacking pack. I like modularity and the ability to easily customize my gear. This fit the bill, and with my sleeping bag strapped on top, and some additional pouches, everything fits very nicely with some room to spare. FYI I run a hammock setup in the summer. Received the pack factory-direct from Eberlestock. Also got the frame which was highly recommended. The quality and detail exceeded my expectations. I have not had a chance to hike any distance with this pack yet, but it fits very well. The shoulder strap adjustability is a very nice feature not found on most packs I’ve seen. The zippers are oversized and high quality. Very well made all around. The only things I’d change about this pack would be deleting the internal document storage, deepening the side pouches by an inch or so, and making the side webbing go horizontal instead of the 45 angle. Very happy with this pack.

Easy to use if you just take the essentials. Lot’s of MOLLE to expand if needed. It’s the capacity they advertise but is spread out. Make sure your things are in small bundles and you will be OK. Any very large single items could be an issue.Nice pack, well built and rides close to the body with lots of ways to adjust. Watch the Eberlestock sizing video on You Tube to show you the right placement.

This pack is made to perfection. However like most Eberlestock packs it lacks the space compared to other tactical packs out In the market. I have a Eberlestock Half track as well as I purchased this one. They are small and if you’re looking to pack a lot of gear this is not the pack. This is for a day hike or small stroll. The photos are deceiving so take it from some one who has an Osprey, Kifaru, London Bridge and a couple of Oakley Military packs. This is perfect just to go to the range however if you are going for an overnight trip and plan to do some serious terrain I would suggest something else. I wish Eberlestock would make packs that would hold more and maybe I would not be so disappointed.
Bataan 2018 –
I purchased this pack for the sole purpose of hiking the Bataan Memorial Death March, a 26.2 mile hike with a 35lb ruck. I’ve hike 4 times with it so far, the furthest being 9 miles with 30 lbs. This pack is well made and can easily handle a 35lb load. The feature I like best is the removable waist belt. I prefer to hike without it. The internal frame is sturdy and the inside hydration bladder compartment with easy access is convenient.
