This is just what I needed. The quality of the build is great, the pouches allow for even loads, lots of Molle capability. The center of the back is perfect for my H2O, it’s well thought of in function. It can hold something as long as a spotting scope too. Not also. The middle pouch with draw string is lined with water/blood resistant material, and runs to the bottom length of the pack, with a smaller pouch at the top with a small clip. This is where I put my game bag/etc. Top cover that is nice and long design that covers the middle and protects things snagging. The pouch with zipper is up top, plenty big. The straps, hip, chest, back all adjust to you and the load, and the excess strap can be wrapped and held down, with built in tie down. These are fine details that are really functional. Now the best part of this pack is being able to carry my scoped rifle with bi-pod in the carrier and be hands free. The pack is very comfortable and well padded. The tighter and closer to my body the better, it is easy to change the balance. My rifle length is about 39 in., and fits down and the butt doesn’t knock your head. There is no rain cover. The bottom of the carrier is reinforced and folds away when not used. You have to remove pack to access you rifle. This not for stalking and quick draw.Eberlestock has all kinds of carrier packs and sizes, it took a little research and thought to select the right one. OpticsPlanet came through. Good luck. Aloha.

I bought this pack to use for coyote hunting. I was worried about my icotec outlaw not fitting in the main compartment according to the measurements. To my surprise up fit but it’s a tight fit. But I can fit my primos alpha dog in there along with at predator tactics spotlight with extra batteries. The top compartment has all my hand calls and the remotes for the Ecallers. I also put my shooting sticks in the water bottle holder then strap them down and it works great. My AR 15 fits easily in the gun scabbard up to the grip with the mag out. All in all I love this pack it’s very well made only reason for 4 stars is because it took nearly 2 weeks to receive it.

really well done backpack, well-made, worth all the money spent! The material is made, it remains silky, the speargun bag is large enough for an assault rifle long and has many pockets for carrying everything you need. You can mount a camelback, to buy separately and the shoulder straps are comfortable and do not bother with prolonged use.The color I chose was really nice and very well camouflaged in the bush.I recommend it to everybody.

I got this rifle backpack for hunting in the African bush. Conditions dictate that walking through thick bushes that you constantly have to take your rifle off your shoulder to prevent scratching of the barrel and stock. This backpack really frees up both arms and your rifle is very well protected. A part of the stock is still exposed above your head bit in most cases this is not an issue. In very thick bush I pull a gator over the exposed stock to prevent scratching from thorns. The backpack is very well made and top quality materials are used. Stitching is excellent. I would definitely recomment for hunting in African conditions, bush, Kalahari or Karoo.

Used it during hunting season to take a fairly heavy long and heavy gun to a spot overlooking a large field and was quite easy for the hike enjoyed it a lot held a large fluffy suit for tree stand sit well made the walk in easier.

I actually got this not realizing the rifle compartment is too small for an ar15 with a 20 round mag and a low profile rds on it. That was disappointing, but it will fit a traditional bolt action rifle or shotgun, as long as they don’t have pistol grips. Storage for everything else is pretty good. Light weight, nice adjustable fit. Molly on the padden belt so you can add say magazine pouches, knives, tools, compass, or whatever you need in a pinch.
