Shelf stable, a little on the pricier side, but worth it to me, I love this soup, will be buying more

This is the first time I’ve tried something like this. I actually bought this on a whim and I’m very glad I did. It arrived this morning and I already tried it out for lunch.
I used some freeze dried leeks in the water I was heating to mix up a small batch of this potato soup.
The process was extremely simple and quick. While the water heated up and came to a boil, the leeks I had thrown in at the beginning rehydrated and it really smelled delicious already as it came to a boil. I then added the proper amount of the potato soup mix and stirred it constantly while it all blended. I simmered it for about 10 minutes or so, stirring occasionally to make sure it didn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
In about 15 minutes or so from start, I had a delicious bowl of potato leek soup! I was totally amazed how good it tasted! I think maybe adding some bacon crumbles and/or some cheese sprinkles would be awesome too.
As I sat here enjoying this soup, I began thinking of all sorts of things that would be good mixed into this soup mix to enhance it. I think making clam chowder will be my next attempt. We live on water and during the summer, fresh clams are always available here so this will be a great way to use some of those clams!
Buy this! It has almost endless possibilities!

Growing up with 4 brothers and 3 sisters my mother had to be creative in the kitchen. Feeding 10 people was always a challenge as everything had to be made in large quantities. During the winter months mom would make potato soup for dinner from scratch. I remember peeling potatoes for the soup and watching the long cooking process. This dehydrated potato soup doesn’t require much preparation and is thick and creamy. It’s one of those “ comfort foods “ from my childhood that still makes me feel warm inside. I strongly recommend this product for your pantry.

Somehow this is some of the best potato soup I’ve found in a can??? I hate eating soup but bought this in case of a freeze. Turned out to be insanely delicious and super easy to make.

It was quick, easy, and creamy. Easy to make, faster than by scratch and it’ll last a long while. I also have the cheese broccoli soup and I love it, as well.

I would say this is as good as any commercial potato as I have found. What seperates it from the pack is the 25 year shelf life.
While the directions as far as cooking time seem a bit light. We cook this longer at a slow boil (20 Min) and the potatoes completely rehydrate as compared to being a bit under hydrated by directions.
I can eat this several days a week as it is that good, so, aside from it’s shortcomings on cook time I still gave it 5 stars.

Loved this potato soup! We ordered survival food for Hurricane Milton. This was one of the things that could arrive in time. It’s flavorful, with chunks of potatoes. It’s thick and hearty, not too salty, and unopened has a 25 year shelf life!
My only issue with it, is that it has to cook for 20 minutes, and that eats up a lot of camp stove gas.
Other than that, it’s perfect and I look forward to having it again, just hopefully not under the same circumstances.

Made it for dinner and enjoyed every spoonful. Easy to make, and needed nothing but the soup mix and water… Easy and enjoyable. Everyone wants me to make it again!
