We purchased this LifeStraw squeeze bottle before our multi-day hike in Newfoundland. We debated purchasing it because we had the LifeStraw drinkable straw, a stove to boil water and tablets for purifying. We thought we had enough but had this sinking feeling this might come in handy.
We’re SO glad we bought it! It ended up being a staple for filling our water bottles throughout the day and getting water for cooking our meals. It was easy to fill up the bottle and squeeze the water into our camel packs and pots for cooking. So much easier to use than having to pull out the lifeStraw every time we wanted a sip of water or worry about having sediment in our pots when cooking food.
Highly recommend, I think it’ll become a staple of all of our camping/hiking trips!

This bottle is awesome. I took it to Ghana and use it. Best part, it collapses. Easy to fill and not to heavy.

This was a must have for my most recent Yosemite trip. It can filter the water as you drink which is awesome. You don’t have to wait to filter it like the other plastic ones. Holds up to dirt and being dropped a few times. The other cool feature is that you can use just the straw and drink right from the creek (If the water is clean enough). If you’re on the fence about this product, I say go for it!

Sconsiglio assolutamente!

I bought these for my husband and son to go deep mountain hiking. I was uncomfortable with the amount of water they were taking, I have a life straw water bottle and it’s great. I bought the squeeze bags so if they needed to, they could squeeze the water out for cooking their food. My husband didn’t want to take it at first, but they did. It was a real life saver for them. They ran out of drinkable water and would have had to come home after 2 days. But they were able to stay the full trip because of the squeeze bags.
i would highly encourage everyone to have 1 of these for a “just in case” emergency. You never know what the world will bring.

This is the best filter/bladder on the market. Durability, ease of use, and portability are simply a beginning to the praise the designers deserve. I have used this product in multiple sizes as well as gifted it to those I know would appreciate it. They should brand this to search and rescue organizations as well as the forest service (depending on heat condition ratings) and parks.

One of the best water purifiers. Essential for hiking and camping.

I recently switched from hard bottles and purification tablets to this bottle. Here is what I love about it:
-Flexible; fits in the side pocket of my cargo shorts/pants and molds to the shape. Hard bottles do not fit well and stretch out the pocket.
-Fill up and go; no need to worry any longer about purifying tap water. If you have a reservoir of extra water in your pack, you can filter it all through the bottle before you leave.
-If you get lost in the woods (like me a few times), this can be filled in the stream and give you safe drinking water immediately.
-It is priced right; the additional expense is worth the benefits.
-It is quite sturdy. A knife would cut it, but it is unlikely that branches would.
-Rolls down to almost nothing for travel, unlike a hard bottle that takes up room in luggage.
-Less hassle (for me at least) than a hydration pack.

The product seems good quality. Cleaned it thoroughly and the strange taste drastically improved. Wrong color sent to me.

I’ve become ever more reliant on this when out on bigger days in the mountains, especially warm days. I can drink as needed without fear of running out of water during the day, or becoming dehydrated. Carry it empty and use it as needed to refill my water bottle as I walk.

I previously used the Sawyer, but what I hated was the Sawyer bag. Eventually, it would rip, risking that your filter would rip off right along with it, potentially leaving you without a filter at all.
This Lifestraw completely solved that issue. The filter attachment is fantastic because it can go inside the bottle AND ALSO be attached outside it it as well, letting you get every drop of the water you collected.
The squeezable nature of the bag is another feature I loved. Makes it very easy to have a solid filtration rate.
If you’re paranoid about losing it (like me), the cap has a decent-sized loop you can clip a small backpack strap through to attach to an exterior pocket. Great design here!
And seriously, there’s another review on here that complains that you can’t get all the water because of the filter being inside the bottle. That’s literally not true. The reviewer just didn’t understand that you can ALSO screw the filter onto the bottle so it’s pointed outside. I love that versatility. Good use of space and design.
