Solid and sturdy, with a decent o-ring seal, this will make a good container for first aid supplies in the car trunk.If you need to lock it, note two things: first, you need a relatively small shackle on the lock to keep the top from opening a bit, and second, you really do need to lock both sides, as otherwise the unlocked corner can be partly pried open to reach some contents.

These ammo cans work great. I found that I can fit 750 of boxed .40 cal in them. Fits (probably 750-800) of loose .223 rounds. Seal, latches and handle all work great. Great way to organize your ammo and it’s ready to go.

Received my can in the mail and was not surprised. Emptied 500 rounds of ammo into it and took to the range. The seal on the rim seems as though it will hold up. Also a great brass collector for those that reload.

This MTM Ammo Can, 50 Caliber is very strong and with a o-ring seals great when shut, also has two nice lead snap locks. I Trust the lead to stay shut with 500 rounds of ammo in the MTM. I ordered 6 and will order more, the cans also stack very nice.

This MTM Ammo Can in 50 Cal size is Great. There are always firearm enthusiast that tend to dismiss this type of ammo can, they only want to use the military metal cans. I have owned that type before and yes they can take a beating. The down side with those metal cans is there weight, even more so when the are full of ammo. The reason I changed to the MTM ammo can type is that I have back nerve damage and torn meniscus in my left knee. Now I use the MTM 30 Cal size for my ammo and the MTM 50 Cal as a Med Kit / important documents ie… Birth certificates, Passport’s SS Cards and Photo’s. The big pluses for the MTM cans besides the weight is that you get a great seal, the metal ones always seem to get warped. Also these don’t rust and they also float when crossing rivers ( even when they have some ammo inside, but not when there full obviously ). The next huge plus is in the event of an emergency like a bug out situation even small kids can carry these. They stack great because they have interlocking tabs on top. I cant say enough good things about these MTM ammo cans, They are High Quality at a Great Price. They at least for me make so much more sense at every level.
